Welcome to "How 2 Study the Bible"!
I welcome your feedback. Email me (Terry) at hester007@sbcglobal.net

You can find my music on YouTube by clicking on the link below.

In the menu bar above you will find links to the pages of my site. One, "How 2 Study the Bible", is where you will find the basic rules and guidelines for studying the Bible. Each of us is responsible for knowing and following God's Word. God is always there to help and guide those who seek Him.

Here is a summary of the menu items on this site:

1) Why Study the Bible

A brief introduction to the Bible and why it is so important to us all.

2) Attitude

I have included a short section on "attitude" as a prelude to this study. The attitude we have as we approach a study of the Bible is everything. The Bible makes that clear time and time again.

3) 10 Day Bible Study

Ten videos, each about 30 minutes long. These offer a quick birds eye view of the Bible and it's certral message. These videos are liked to YouTube so if you choose you can actually view them in YouTube.

4) The Gospel

Though "The Gospel" is covered in one of the videos, we go into a little more detail on this page.

5) How to become a Christian

Again, this is quickly covered in the videos, but I have given it it's own page because of the great importance of the question, "How do I become a Christian".

6) How to study the Bible

This page offers basic priciples on how to study the Bible. These principles are not unique to the Bible. These are basic principles that would apply to gaining a proper understanding of any book like the Bible.

It includes things like, taking each passage in context, and knowing the specific "genre" of a given passage.

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we all need to learn to "drink from the source". We need to get our answers from the Word of God and not man. We all know people we feel we can trust and that's good. Of course we can learn from others. But anyone who is genuinely concerned with your salvation will tell you that you need to study the Bible for yourself in order to know that what they are saying is indeed Bible based. The Bible makes it clear that we will be judged by the Word of God and not the traditions of men.

7) Faith and Reason

If you are not a  believer but are willing to take a look at some of the evidence for building faith in God, then I hope you will take a look at our "Faith and Reason" page.

I hope you will discover somethinig in this web site that will spark you interest in the spiritual journey God has planned for you. It's not always an easy journey, but it's the only journey that will get you to where you want to go!
